Halloween was a very scary (and fun!) day at SJD. Student Council organized a costume runway show, a bake sale, games and stories, while Ms. Russell’s Gr. 7/8 class built a horrifying haunted house for students who dared to enter! Entry to the haunted house was optional, and students could have the lights on or off.
SJD will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair in the library from 12:30 – 7:00 PM on Wed., Nov. 6. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Parents are cordially invited to pick up your Gr. 1 – 8 child’s progress report. Wednesday, November 6 at 4:00 – 6:30 in your child’s classroom Mrs. T. Bernath and Mme Lachine will also be available. Appointments will not be scheduled. A Book Fair will also take place in the library from 12:35 PM – 7:00 PM
School Council is planning great activities for Halloween including the ever popular costume fashion show, contests, games, a bake sale and the Gr. 7/8 haunted house will take place during the morning of Oct. 31. All bake sale items are welcomed and appreciated and please remember that SJD is nut-free. Have a safe Halloween!
After a year’s hiatus, SJD’s Student Council is ready to start organizing fun activities for our students. Ms. Portis, Ms. Russell and Mrs. Lachine are very excited to be working with President Shayna, Vice-President Sierra, Treasurer Alex, Secretary Kaylee, Gr. 4/5 Class Rep. Nathan, Gr. 5/6 Class Rep. Keely and Gr. 7/8 Class Rep. Jamie. We’re looking forward to a great year!
SJD is selling t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and shorts until October 23. The clothing is excellent quality. Samples are on display in the school and order forms are available at the office.
