Please do not send lunches or snacks to school that contain nuts, peanuts or nut products, such as peanut butter or peanut oil, also do not send lunches or snacks to school that contain fish, sea food products, such as tuna and or salmon etc.
We again have started quickly here at SJD. There is lots of opportunity for students to get involved. Art Club- Tuesday’s at Lunch hour Grade 3-5 Thursday’s at Lunch hour Grade 6-8 Running Club- Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at Queens park. Soccer- Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Lunch.
Mrs. Bernath couldn’t believe the number of students from Gr. 1 – 8 who participated in Lego Club during lunch hour on Tuesdays throughout January and February. Mrs. Chandor-Hall and Mrs. Beerkens enjoyed playing board games with JK – Gr. 4 students on Thursdays during lunch at the Board Games Club. SJD’s the place to be!

Mme Bouchard will soon be having a new baby, so she has begun her maternity leave. Welcome to Ms. Kim Mihell who will SJD’s French teacher during Mme Bouchard’s leave.
The annual Welcome Back BBQ will be held on Tuesday, September 23 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM. See you there!

Thursday, February 27 was Pink Shirt and Kindness Day at SJD. Freggie from the APH visited during the Student of the Month to highlight being kind to ourselves by eating properly.
A brand new year at SJD is ready to begin! The staff have been hard at work preparing the school and classrooms for students’ arrival on Tuesday, September 3. We can hardly wait!
