Clubs on the Go!

Lego club starts up on Tuesdays at Lunch. Spirit club meets Mondays at Lunch. Grad Committee meets Tuesdays after school.


Basketball Practices starting!!

Girls practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Lunch. Boys practice on Mondays and Thursdays after school.


Curling on Wednesdays at 4:00pm

Reminder that SJD is a peanut free and fish/ seafood free environment.

Please do not send lunches or snacks to school that contain nuts, peanuts or nut products, such as peanut butter or peanut oil, also do not send lunches or snacks to school that contain fish, sea food products, such as tuna and or salmon etc.    


Teams and club practices

We again have started quickly here at SJD. There is lots of opportunity for students to get involved. Art Club- Tuesday’s at Lunch hour Grade 3-5 Thursday’s at Lunch hour Grade 6-8 Running Club- Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at Queens park. Soccer- Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Lunch.


Soccer Season Begins

We’ve arrived back at school so that means for many students thats a chance to play school sports. Ms. Portis and Ms. Russell have started soccer practices Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch, Preparing the 6/7/8’s ready for the soccer tournament that is scheduled for Wednesday October 5th. Good Luck to our Cougars!


Winter Fun Day

On March 4, Student Council, Ms. Portis and Miss Russell organized an afternoon of winter events for the entire school. Teams of JK – Gr. 7 students rotated to all the events, while Gr. 8 students ran the events. It was a beautiful day, and everyone had a great time!
